Ecological Technologies appointed New Zealand Distributor for sera ProDos GmbH
For over 65 years, the German company, Seybert & Rahier GmbH & Co (sera) has been one of the world’s leading manufacturers of dosing and delivery engineering for chemicals and liquids of all types. Subsidiary, Sera ProDos GmbH continues this tradition and continues to expand its scope of services as system and package provider, whether for preparation, treatment and disinfection of water or for the delivery and dosing of chemicals and liquids.
LIT UV UNITS installed at Maungaturoto Water Treatment Plant
LIT UV Technology is among the three largest UV companies in the world and has a broad installation base around the world including Australasia.
Two LIT DUV-3A-DB300 units have been installed in the Maungaturoto Water Treatment Plant. Each unit has been designed to provide an Önorm “Certified” flow of 56.5 m3/h at a UV transmission of 95% and meet the requirements of the DWSNZ.
The DUV units equipped with long life mercury amalgam lamps and electronic ballasts are provided with chemical cleaning systems to ensure operation with a minimum of maintenance.

WESTFALL MIXERS Installed in Suva Water Treatment Plants
Westfall Model 2800 static injection mixers were specified for as part of the upgrade of the Waila and Tamavua water treatment plants. A 750mm injection mixer was supplied for Waila WTP and a 600mm injection mixer was supplied for the Tamavua WTP. Both mixers will be used for the injection and mixing of aluminium sulphate.
The Westfall Static Mixer is a full pipe motionless static mixer in which fluids are injected and rapidly mixed by a combination of alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence.
