UAT Electrodeionisation (EDI)

Contact Us

Electrodeionisation (EDI) is a water treatment technology that utilizes a electricity, ion exchange membranes and resin to deionize water and separate dissolved ions (impurities) from water. It differs from other water purification technologies in that it is done without the use of chemical treatments and is usually a polishing treatment to reverse osmosis (RO).

EDI is now used in a wide variety of industries including water purification, steam generation, and semiconductor and chemical manufacturing, as well as in food and beverage manufacturing.

Applications that require the removal of impurities in water without the use of dangerous chemicals can benefit greatly by Electrodeionisation.
