A 200 m3/day Severn Trent Services UAT seawater desalination system has been commissioned by Ecological Technologies Ltd for Kokom Private Island Resort. Located on Yaukuve Island, Kadavu, Fiji the desalination system provides potable water for the luxury resort.
The De Nora system is fully automatic and uses Danfoss axial piston pumps which does require vibration dampers and provide a long service life.
The desalination system was part of Ecological Technologies scope of supply which included a PMT "Ecodisk" for wastewater treatment, Grundfos process pumps and LIT ultraviolet disinfection systems.
